1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ApiLens ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CS Software LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

ApiLens is an AI-powered API documentation generation service that analyzes code repositories to create comprehensive documentation. The Service includes:

  • Automated API documentation generation
  • Code analysis and parsing
  • Documentation hosting and sharing
  • Integration with version control systems
  • Related tools and features as we may provide

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using GitHub OAuth. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Circumvent any security features or access restrictions
  • Use automated systems or bots without permission
  • Harvest or collect user information without consent
  • Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by CS Software LLC and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain all rights to your source code and content. By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Process your code solely for generating documentation
  • Display generated documentation as you direct
  • Store documentation for your access
  • Perform technical operations necessary for the Service

This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except where required for legal compliance or cached/backup copies.

Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service becomes our property and may be used without compensation or attribution to you.

5. DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Service Provided "AS IS"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF INFORMATION
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE

No Guarantee of Accuracy

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE DOCUMENTATION GENERATED BY OUR SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING AND VERIFYING ALL GENERATED DOCUMENTATION.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL CS SOFTWARE LLC, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
  • DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR USE OF THE SERVICE
  • DAMAGES FROM INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF SERVICE
  • DAMAGES FROM BUGS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS
  • DAMAGES FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT OR CONDUCT

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE PAST SIX (6) MONTHS, UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $1,000.

Jurisdictional Limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

6. INDEMNIFICATION

YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS CS SOFTWARE LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS, AND ASSIGNS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, OBLIGATIONS, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, COSTS, DEBT, AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY\'S FEES) ARISING FROM:

  • Your use of and access to the Service
  • Your violation of any term of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Any content or data you provide to the Service
  • Any damages caused by your use of the Service

7. Payment Terms

Subscription Plans

Certain features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described in our pricing page.

Billing

  • Fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable
  • We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes

Failed Payments

If payment fails, we may suspend or terminate your access to paid features until payment is received.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Failure to pay applicable fees
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • At our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which should reasonably survive termination shall survive.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk and governed by their respective terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms and changing the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that comes closest to the intent of the original.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and ApiLens regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
